Though the holidays often center around family, they can also stir a mix of complicated, tender emotions. For those of us with difficult family dynamics, this season can bring anything from dread and anger to loneliness, pressure, or that quiet melancholy that settles into the background of daily life.
Whether you’re the black sheep or scapegoat who has carried rejection, judgment, guilt, or manipulation… or the golden child expected to stay in line with the inner circle, holding an assignment you never agreed to, each role comes with its own invisible weight.
For me, carrying a blend of black sheep and hero child roles, the holidays once ushered in a deep, lingering sadness. I would slip into memories of being unseen, unheard, and unvalued, all while desperately wanting to save my family and lift us into greater consciousness—yet feeling as though I had failed. It wasn’t until I experienced energy clearing with Jenny, along with family constellations work, that the heaviness of that loneliness finally began to lift.
If this season brings up big emotions for you, too, know that you don’t have to navigate them alone. Whether your family members are living or have passed on, there is gentle support available as you explore your place within your family system. Through integrative energy coaching and constellation work, we can look at what’s arising with care and spaciousness. Sometimes the work is about creating boundaries; other times it’s tending to an inner child who has long been calling for attention. A constellation offers a compassionate way to gain insight and begin moving toward peace—and you’ll leave with a tool you can return to whenever you need it.
